BOTOX Injections New Jersey
Providing Cosmetic Injectables in Princeton and Mercer County
Are you looking for top BOTOX or Dysport treatment in Princeton, New Jersey? As we age, many individuals look for ways to retain or recapture a youthful and vibrant facial appearance. Fine lines and wrinkles, especially on the face, can take away from this look and instead cause patients to look older than they actually are. Princeton cosmetic surgeon Dr. Jill Hazen is considered by many to be one of the best BOTOX and Dysport doctors in New Jersey.
Everyday facial expressions like smiling and frowning can create creases and wrinkles around the eyes, forehead, and between the eyebrows. At Hazen Medical Spa, a team of anti-aging and skin rejuvenation experts can guide each patient on which injectable treatment is best for their unique needs. Botox and Dysport treat existing lines and wrinkles while preventing new ones from forming, giving patients a smoother complexion that prolongs a natural, youthful appearance without the dreaded “frozen” face. These injectable treatments require no downtime, and work by relaxing the overactive facial muscles that cause lines and creases to form.
Every injectable treatment at Hazen Medical Spa is FDA-approved to reduce the appearance of lines and wrinkles to give patients a smoother and more youthful look. After the treatment begins working, patients can see results for up to four months after a single treatment. Results can be extended even further through a series of treatments.
What is BOTOX?
BOTOX is an FDA-approved cosmetic injectable used to reduce muscle activity on the forehead, around the eyes, and between the eyebrows to eliminate lines and wrinkles, like “crow’s feet” and frown lines. Botox results last up to four months and require no downtime. Dr. Jill Hazen is a board-certified plastic surgeon.

What Is Dysport?
Like Botox, Dysport is an FDA-approved neurotoxin for the reduction of fine lines and wrinkles between the eyebrows. When injected into a targeted facial muscle, Dysport temporarily blocks nerve impulses to relax muscle contractions and soften the overlying lines or wrinkles. Dysport can show results in less than five days, and is able to treat a wide area for more comprehensive wrinkle reduction.
Botox vs. Dysport
Some of the key differences between the two products include the following:
- Dosing: Dysport and Botox are dosed differently, with Dysport having a greater dilution than Botox. What this means is you would need a higher quantity of Dysport units to achieve the same level of result provided by Botox treatment.
- Diffusion: Dysport has smaller molecules than Botox. The molecules tend to spread to a broader area than Botox after injection, making it easier to treat a larger area (than it is with Botox). On the other hand, because of the way it diffuses, Dysport may be slightly less efficient in treating smaller areas that require greater precision.
- Onset of results: Dysport results typically appear slightly faster than Botox results. Patients can see results approximately 24 hours after Dysport treatment, whereas it may take up to 72 hours for Botox results to stabilize.
When injected by a qualified provider like Dr. Hazen, both Botox and Dysport can provide incredible wrinkle-reducing results. Your provider can evaluate your area(s) of concern and recommend the product better suited to your needs.
